About depression and happiness, plus Tanaka Ryohei's No.1 Well. "Just a tablespoon of hope like syrup on a pancake, just a warm voice over a phoneline like honey on a sandwich"
absolutely! ❤️ and I'm SO sorry that you've been going through that. I know exaclty how it feels and you're a warrior every time you push through and keep on moving ❤️❤️
this is just stunning. 'Just a tablespoon of hope like syrup on a pancake' -what amazing imagery here.
it's funny because I'm also writing a poem about joy and I thought joy is like toasted croissants with scramble eggs. we really were thinking similarly 🌸 I can't wait to see what you post next!
"You who dreamed of being a person once." This is precisely what being severely depressed feels like. Nailed it. It should be on tshirts and greeting cards. Your steady and subtle transitions following are quite beautiful word portraits. Part of me wanted to slow you down and stretch out the transitions and ask you to add more words, not because the poem needed it, but only because I wanted them to wash over my soul. Word greed.
thank you for sharing @Tristan!! I’m grateful!
“You are less empty than you imagine.”
Truth. And so hard to see.
There's always more grace to find, both inside and out. Thank you for reading love <3
“Was it ever truly necessary,
the specificity of your being?” I have felt this recently even though things are better than they’ve been. Thank you for putting words to it. 💛

Thank you, Claire. 💛 and for the reminder to keep pushing through it. I’m excited to keep looking reading your poems/art.

Thank you for the vulnerability, dear Claire. I’m glad light has touched our minds many a time. 🌟
